Do we disclose your personal information to anyone?
Total Finance Corporation may disclose your personal information in certain circumstances and primarily these are your representatives or any person acting on your behalf. Fo example lawyers, settlement agents, accountants, real estate agents or suppliers and your referees like your employer to confirm details about you.
Sometimes we are required or authorised by law to disclose your personal information. For example we may disclose your personal information to a Court in response to a subpoena or to the Australian Taxation Office following a direction issued under taxation laws.
We may also disclose your personal information where you have consented to us doing so.
Generally however we do not disclose your personal information to a party outside Total Finance Corporation, unless that party is contracted to Total Finance Corporation to provide administrative services or activities on our behalf and that party is bound by the some privacy rules we follow. For example our Mortgage Aggregator through whom we submit loan or lease applications to lenders or lessors on the Mortgage Aggregator's panel. Other examples are Valuers, Lenders Mortgage Insurers or other loan or lease intermediaries, guarantors, Government or regulatory bodies, service providers, agents. contractors and advisers that assist us to conduct our business and any third party that you consent to us sharing your information.
Sharing outside of Australia
We are not likely to disclose your information to organisations overseas. However, we may store your information in cloud or other types of networked or electronic storage such as emails. As electronic or networked storage can be accessed from various countries via an internet connection, it’s not always practicable to know in which country your information may be held.
